I’ve (Becky) been creating various stands for pooktre’s jewellery that we have here in Portugal. As part of that process, I’ve been creating masters and then making the stands. Which sounds simple hey! But part of this fun has been lifecasting my lower leg, sculpturing a lower arm, and creating a bust. Then create one stand from each master to test. I’m pleased with the arm and leg, but still working on the bust.
The bust will be the master for 3 different but related stands. Neckpieces, crowns and earpieces. Yesterday I created a test to see if the master of the ear part of the bust was going to be the right size for the earpieces. I’ve created the ear master separated from the bust at the moment till I was sure of the resulting stand created. Hence the making of the test stand. This stand was only a partial build just enough to know whether or not to go ahead with adding the ear master to the bust.
These stands are all part of a long term plan of finding gallery or galleries to display our grown jewellery range. Ideally, we love the grown jewellery to do a tour around Europe, Asia and/or the rest of the world. Or some other way to exhibit the grown jewellery range. We are open to any ideas!
Anyway, the whole reason for the post was Pete being inspired to take some photos of the test stand for the earpiece.
